Letter to my abuser
To HIM
Why would you think I wanted you to touch me?
What makes you think you had the right to take away my innocence.
You took away my confidence. You took away my security. You took a part of me.
I won't let you take away what bit of a life i have left.
I do hold you responsible for what you did because it was your choice to hurt me.
Your happy while often I'm sad and depressed
I need you to stay away from me and stop acting as if you never did what you did
stay out of my head and my dreams.
I am tired of you invading my thoughts.
I never deserved anything you did to me.
I will never let anyone get away with doing stuff like the things you did to me.
I pray God Will Forgive you
Just some thoughts from The Person You Tried to Wreck

Piecing it Together
Hello Broken18,
I think this is a very powerful piece of work. It really struck a cord with me because I was also holding on to the pain, and the abuse, because the perpetrator chose to hurt me. When you are ready, please make steps toward forgiveness. Not for the perpetrator's sake, but for your own. Forgiveness will help your recovery process, and aid in your healing. When you don't forgive it means you are holding out for something from the perpetrator, and it's highly likely that you will never get it.
